白逢彥，博士，研究員，國(guó)家杰出青年基金獲得者，單縣郭村鎮(zhèn)人，生于1963年11月，1984年畢業(yè)于中山大學(xué)生物系，獲學(xué)士，1987和1996年于中國(guó)科學(xué)院研究生院分別獲理學(xué)碩士和博士學(xué)位。現(xiàn)任中國(guó)科學(xué)院真菌地衣系統(tǒng)學(xué)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室副主任，中國(guó)微生物學(xué)會(huì)真菌專業(yè)委員會(huì)副主任委員，中國(guó)真菌學(xué)會(huì)常務(wù)理事、副秘書長(zhǎng)；國(guó)際酵母菌委員會(huì)(International Commission on Yeasts)委員；歐洲微生物學(xué)會(huì)聯(lián)合會(huì)主辦刊物《FEMS Yeast Research》編委，《菌物學(xué)報(bào)》副主編，《微生物學(xué)報(bào)》《中華微生物學(xué)和免疫學(xué)雜志》《菌物研究》和《生物學(xué)通報(bào)》等期刊編委。參與國(guó)際酵母菌系統(tǒng)學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域權(quán)威專著和工具書《The Yeasts, a Taxonomic Study》第5版和《The Yeast Handbook: Yeast Taxonomy》的編著。
研究領(lǐng)域
酵母菌生物多樣性、分子進(jìn)化和群體遺傳。在酵母菌資源調(diào)查、分類鑒定和菌種保藏的基礎(chǔ)上，重點(diǎn)進(jìn)行下述方面的研究：
（1) 酵母菌系統(tǒng)發(fā)育、物種分化與形成機(jī)制；
（2) 酵母菌應(yīng)用價(jià)值評(píng)估及工業(yè)酵母菌生產(chǎn)性能的遺傳基礎(chǔ)與改造；
（3) 條件致病酵母菌種群分布、群體遺傳、致病機(jī)理和分子流行病學(xué)。此外，白逢彥教授的研究領(lǐng)域還包括酵母菌分子系統(tǒng)學(xué)、進(jìn)化生物學(xué)和釀造微生物組，特別是釀酒酵母菌群體遺傳學(xué)和群體基因組學(xué)，以及工業(yè)酵母菌優(yōu)良發(fā)酵和抗逆性能的分子機(jī)制與遺傳改造，還有傳統(tǒng)釀造微生物組學(xué)的研究。

與日本、歐洲和美國(guó)同行開(kāi)展了廣泛的國(guó)際合作。與荷蘭皇家藝術(shù)與科學(xué)院真菌多樣性研究中心(CBS-KNAW Fungal Bioversity Center)酵母菌研究組建立了長(zhǎng)期穩(wěn)定的合作研究關(guān)系。雙方的合作研究項(xiàng)目成功獲得了中國(guó)國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金委員會(huì)重大國(guó)際合作項(xiàng)目和荷蘭皇家藝術(shù)與科學(xué)院中國(guó)交流項(xiàng)目的資助，合作其間雙方研究組長(zhǎng)定期短期互訪，本實(shí)驗(yàn)室年輕研究人員每年可在CBS工作5個(gè)月。
作為主要編輯之一，與國(guó)際酵母菌系統(tǒng)分類學(xué)研究領(lǐng)域的權(quán)威合作，共同編輯國(guó)際酵母菌研究領(lǐng)域的權(quán)威專著《The Yeasts》電子版 (。
通過(guò)承接企業(yè)委托研發(fā)項(xiàng)目和共建院士專家工作站等方式，與北京牛欄山酒廠、貴州茅臺(tái)、山西汾酒廠、江蘇今世緣酒廠和湖北安琪酵母公司等8家大型企業(yè)建立了合作研究關(guān)系，獲得研發(fā)項(xiàng)目合同經(jīng)費(fèi)1760萬(wàn)元。
