劉國(guó)英，香港特別行政區(qū)出生，香港中文大學(xué)哲學(xué)系畢業(yè)（1979），巴黎大學(xué)索爾邦學(xué)院哲學(xué)博士（1993）。現(xiàn)任香港中文大學(xué)哲學(xué)系教授、哲學(xué)「文學(xué)碩士」課程主任、現(xiàn)象學(xué)與人文科學(xué)概論研究中心副主任，及現(xiàn)象學(xué)與當(dāng)代哲學(xué)資料中心副主任。為《現(xiàn)象學(xué)與人文科學(xué)學(xué)刊》主編、《中國(guó)現(xiàn)象學(xué)與哲學(xué)評(píng)論》學(xué)術(shù)委員會(huì)委員及《法蘭西思想評(píng)論》編委；亦為勞思光先生的《思光學(xué)術(shù)論著新編》（共十三卷）主編之一，在該系列中編有《思想方法五講新編》、《中國(guó)之路向新編》、《自由、民主與文化創(chuàng)生》、《哲學(xué)問(wèn)題源流論》（合編）、《家國(guó)天下——思光時(shí)論文選》（合編）及《存在主義哲學(xué)新編》（合編）等書(shū)。此外，亦編有勞思光先生的《文化哲學(xué)講演錄》及《虛境與希望——論當(dāng)代哲學(xué)與文化》（「思光學(xué)術(shù)新著」之一及之二，香港特別行政區(qū)：香港中文大學(xué)出版社，2002-2003）。
