陳志明（Tan Chee-Beng），國際知名人類學(xué)家與東南亞研究專家。曾任教于新加坡大學(xué)、馬來亞大學(xué)、香港中文大學(xué)，2012年9月，被聘任為中山大學(xué)社會(huì)學(xué)與人類學(xué)學(xué)院特聘教授，2013年當(dāng)選世界海外華人研究學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)長。
教育背景
陳志明（Tan Chee-Beng），國際知名人類學(xué)家與東南亞研究專家，1950年出生于馬來西亞，祖籍永春縣，1974年畢業(yè)于馬來西亞理科大學(xué)，獲社會(huì)科學(xué)學(xué)士，1976—1979年就讀于美國康奈爾大學(xué)，并先后獲得人類學(xué)碩士、博士學(xué)位。畢業(yè)后曾任教于新加坡大學(xué)和馬來亞大學(xué)，1996年至2012年任教于香港中文大學(xué)，其中八年擔(dān)任香港中文大學(xué)人類學(xué)系主任。2012年9月，陳志明博士被聘任為中山大學(xué)人類學(xué)系的特聘教授。
研究方向
族群，文化變遷與認(rèn)同；族群關(guān)系；原著民/少數(shù)民族與發(fā)展；僑鄉(xiāng)與海外華人；華人宗教；飲食與文化。研究區(qū)域包括東南亞（以馬來西亞為主）和中國（華南）。所研究的群體包括馬六甲的峇峇、馬來西亞的華人社群（吉蘭丹州和登嘉樓州的華人、沙巴州的天津人等）、沙撈越的巴登根雅人（Badeng Kenyah）、福建泉州的巴厘省華人、香港特別行政區(qū)的印度尼西亞華人等。
學(xué)術(shù)任職
陳志明教授曾發(fā)起并創(chuàng)辦《海外華人》（Journal of Chinese Overseas）學(xué)報(bào)和《亞洲人類學(xué)》（Asian-Anthropology）學(xué)報(bào)，并負(fù)責(zé)學(xué)報(bào)的主編/聯(lián)合主編多年，并先后被臺灣研究院民族學(xué)研究所《臺灣人類學(xué)刊》編委會(huì)、臺灣大學(xué)人類學(xué)系《考古人類學(xué)刊》咨詢委員會(huì)聘為委員；亦被《華人研究國際學(xué)報(bào)》、《西北民族研究》、《亞洲人類學(xué)》 、《東南亞學(xué)刊》(臺灣暨南國際大學(xué)) 、馬來西亞人文與社會(huì)科學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)、Anthropological Forum聘為學(xué)術(shù)咨詢/國際咨詢委員等。
