梁其姿，香港大學歷史系學士（1975），法國高等社會科學研究院歷史碩士（1976）、博士（1980）。曾任加利福尼亞大學洛杉磯校區歷史系訪問教授、（臺灣省）“中研院”中山人文社會科學研究所副研究員、“臺灣”清華大學共同科副教授、巴黎大學外語系講師、法國高等社會科學研究院中國近代史研究所研究助理，（臺灣）“中研院”中山人文社會科學研究所研究員，臺灣大學歷史系兼任教授。其研究專長是明清社會史和近世社會文化史。2010年當選臺灣研究院第28屆新任院士（人文及社會科學組）。
人物經歷
梁教授于1975年畢業于香港大學歷史系，后于法國高等社會科學研究院修讀歷史學碩士及博士學位。她自1982年起加入臺灣研究院，歷任該院中山人文社會科學研究所副研究員和研究員，現為該院歷史語言研究所研究員。2008年，她加盟香港中文大學任歷史學講座教授。2009年，獲香港大學委任為人文學院名譽教授。多年來，她曾任多所海內外大學的訪問教授或兼任教授，包括美國加州大學洛杉磯分校、法國高等社會科學研究院、法國國家衛生研究院、法國高等實踐第四校、臺灣清華大學、臺灣大學及南開大學等。
學術研究
梁教授的主要研究范疇為明清社會史和中國醫療社會史。她在1997年出版的專書《施善與教化：明清的慈善組織》中，率先分析明清民間善堂的歷史淵源及當時大量善堂現的現象，并就其組織形式與特色作詳細解說，深具啟發性。這些善堂一直對社會和政治有深遠影響，由明清時期到近代亦然。梁教授亦是中國醫療社會史研究的開拓者，她就明清時期的醫療資源、醫學傳承、方土與疾病觀、女醫等問題在中英文權威醫療期刊與專書中發表重要論文，為明清至近代醫療史的研究奠立重要基礎。早在1987年，她領先分析明清醫療組織的發展，該論文已成為當今研究中國醫療史的必讀之作，并廣被引用。她另一項有關明清預防天花措施的研究，指出牛痘接種技術在十九世紀初已在中國順利推行，推翻了中國傳統社會保守性強，不接受西方醫療技術的看法。
她曾于國際學術期刊發表二十多篇論文，撰寫約三十份專書及專書論文，并翻譯歷史學論文多篇。她又為多份著名專業期刊擔任編輯工作，包括Nan-Nu: Men, Women and Gender in Early and Imperial China（荷蘭Brill）、Australian Journal of Politics and History、T'oung Pao（荷蘭Brill）、《史語所集刊》、《歐美研究》、《新史學》、《人文及社會科學集刊》、《漢學研究》等。
