魏紅旭，男，1983年6月出生，滿族，農學博士，吉林市人。2002年考入北京林業大學林學專業本科就讀，2006年考入同校森林培育學科攻讀碩士，2011年獲林學院森林培育學科博士學位。曾于2010年赴加拿大University of Victoria訪學，在2019-2020年赴美國University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point大學訪問。現在中國科學院東北地理與農業生態研究所任副研究員，研究領域有森林資源綜合利用，研究方向是城市森林、林下資源、苗木生理生態學、設施園藝。
