趙子建，博士，南京醫科大學特聘教授，博士生導師，南京醫科大學代謝疾病研究中心主任，南京“紫金人才計劃”第一批人選，南京市321計劃“科技企業家培養”人才，南京華貞生物醫藥科技有限公司董事長。同時，趙子建教授也是廣東工業大學百人計劃特聘教授，科技部“973”重大研究計劃首席科學家，江蘇省特聘教授第一批人選，廣東省珠江人才計劃創新創業團隊帶頭人。
趙子建的研究項目多年來得到中國科技部、自然基金委、美國NIH、美國糖尿病協會，美國心臟協會等機構支持，成果多次以第一和通訊作者發表在Nature-Medicine、Nature-神經科學、PNAS、JCI、糖尿病等頂尖和權威專業期刊上。曾獲得美國糖尿病協會前途發展獎和研究獎。多年來注重研究成果的臨床應用轉化，其中一些成果已申報和獲得國際專利保護，有的已經正在申報進入臨床試驗。
人物經歷
1984年獲北京大學化學系學士。
1992年于南加州大學獲得生物化學及分子生物學博士學位，后在美國華盛頓州大學西雅圖醫學院藥理學系從事博士后研究及藥物開發研究。
2000年任職匹茲堡大學醫學院細胞生物和生理學系tenure-track教授，后晉升為終身教授（tenured）。
