廖建文（Liao Jianwen）是一位中國企業(yè)家和學者，出生于1967年8月。他在戰(zhàn)略、創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)業(yè)領域的跨學科研究、教學和咨詢方面享有盛譽。廖建文曾任京東集團首席戰(zhàn)略官，并在長江商學院擔任副院長和戰(zhàn)略創(chuàng)新與創(chuàng)業(yè)教授。他在北美和亞洲地區(qū)都有豐富的工作經(jīng)驗，并在生物技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)創(chuàng)業(yè)。此外，他曾在美國伊利諾伊州理工斯圖沃特商學院擔任終身教職，并在香港科技大學、北京大學和中歐商學院（CEIBS）任教。廖建文教授的研究重點是新經(jīng)濟與傳統(tǒng)經(jīng)濟的交融，特別關(guān)注互聯(lián)網(wǎng)、移動互聯(lián)網(wǎng)和社會網(wǎng)絡對傳統(tǒng)經(jīng)濟（如教育、金融和醫(yī)療等）的持續(xù)影響。他在戰(zhàn)略創(chuàng)新、競爭定位和商業(yè)模式構(gòu)建方面具有獨到的視角和系統(tǒng)研究。2021年7月12日，京東集團發(fā)布內(nèi)部文件，宣布廖建文因身體原因退休。

早年經(jīng)歷
1984年8月考入東北地區(qū)工學院就讀。
1988年9月入中國人民大學外國經(jīng)濟研究所攻讀研究生。
工作經(jīng)歷
1991年8月畢業(yè)后在中國船舶總公司研究院工作。
1992年9月赴美國攻讀博士學位。
1995年博士畢業(yè)后在美國芝加哥工作，任大學教授。
2017年4月17日京東集團證實，原長江商學院副院長廖建文加盟京東集團，擔任首席戰(zhàn)略官（CSO），負責集團整體戰(zhàn)略規(guī)劃及戰(zhàn)略實施落地工作，聚焦商業(yè)模式等研究，系統(tǒng)性推進戰(zhàn)略的規(guī)劃、迭代、復盤和落地。
2020年4月1日成為永輝超市董事。
2021年7月，京東集團首席戰(zhàn)略官廖建文因身體原因退休。

以在戰(zhàn)略、創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)業(yè)領域的跨學科研究而知名。積極參與了創(chuàng)業(yè)動力定組研究計劃(Panel Study of Entrepreneurial 動力學)，這是對美國新興企業(yè)家以及合資創(chuàng)業(yè)的第一次大規(guī)模、橫向研究。他曾在《戰(zhàn)略企業(yè)家雜志》《企業(yè)創(chuàng)業(yè)學雜志》《創(chuàng)業(yè)理論與實踐》《小企業(yè)管理期刊》《小企業(yè)經(jīng)濟學》以及《高新技術(shù)管理研究期刊》上發(fā)表30篇學術(shù)論文。他的一篇研究報告《美國總統(tǒng)報告，2007》曾被《小企業(yè)經(jīng)濟學》選為特寫文章。他的研究和教學成果為其贏得了眾多獎勵和榮譽，其中包括美國小型企業(yè)管理局授予的研究經(jīng)費獎為《21世紀經(jīng)濟商業(yè)評論》和《北大商業(yè)評論》等刊物撰寫專欄。此外，他還曾任美國中小型企業(yè)管理局的顧問。
