維奇豬籠草（Nepenthes veitchii）原產于婆羅洲。多存在于婆羅洲北西部，也可在加里曼丹地區（Kalimantan）發現。其種加詞“veitchii”來源于維奇苗圃的主人，詹姆斯維奇。低地地區的樹林中維奇豬籠草常附生，其葉柄環抱樹桿向上生長。而高地地區泥炭沼澤的維奇豬籠草則多陸生。巴里奧地區的維奇豬籠草似乎嚴格陸生，未在該地區觀察到其附生植株。此外，低地地區和高地地區的維奇豬籠草在形態上也有區別，低地變型比高地變型的唇窄，籠子較為瘦長，高地維奇籠子呈矮胖型。
簡介
弗雷德里克·伯比奇（Frederick William Burbidge）在他的專著（the Gardener's Chronicle）中對維奇豬籠草進行了以下描述。維奇豬籠草生長在20到100英尺高的樹干上，而從未發現它生長在地上。這種生活習性在豬籠草是獨一無二的。他的葉子緊緊的扣住樹干，就像一個人用手臂包住樹干一樣。
奧多阿多·貝卡利（Odoardo Beccari）1865年在Mount Santubong的山頂發現了維奇豬籠草。他在他的筆記中寫下了內容。
這是一種相當美麗且稀有的豬籠草。我得到了一些有10英寸長的捕蟲籠標本。這種豬籠草最為引人注目的是它亮黃色的唇。這明亮的黃色唇是引誘昆蟲落入籠子的絕佳陷阱。
