張德強,教授,博導。全國百篇優秀博士論文獲得者。曾任北京林業大學生物科學與技術學院黨委副書記、院長。主持國家自然科學基金面上項目、國家林業局“948”項目、國家自然科學基金面上項目、教育部科學研究重大項目、全國百篇優秀博士論文專項基金、教育部新世紀優秀人才支持計劃專項基金、北京市科技新星支持計劃專項基金、人事部留學回國人員優秀類專項基金等項目;作為主要參加人,參加了一項科技部“十一五”科技支撐項目。主要研究方向為分子遺傳學和功能基因組學。

張德強主持了國家973計劃、十三五重點研發計劃、十四五重點研發計劃課題、國家自然科學基金與林草局新品種推廣項目等國家重點支持計劃課題10余項,在《Plant Cell》《New Phytologist》與《Plant Biotechnology Journal》等國際主流期刊發表原創性論文110余篇,授權國家發明專利28件,作為第一培育人,獲楊屬新品種權22個。
