劉峰奇,1963年8月出生,是中國科學院半導體研究所的研究員和博士生導師。他擔任973首席科學家,是新世紀百千萬人才工程國家級人選,并且曾獲得國家杰出青年科學基金。

研究成果
劉峰奇主要從事半導體紅外量子材料和器件的研究,包括中遠紅外量子級聯激光器和太赫茲量子級聯激光器,以及中遠紅外量子級聯探測器。他在2000年首次研制出室溫工作3.5微米的應變補償InGaAs/InAlAs量子級聯激光器,并成功研制出波長4.6、7.4微米等的一系列室溫連續工作的分布反饋單模量子級聯激光器。此外,他還實現了光子晶體分布反饋量子級聯激光器近衍射極限的室溫單模工作,并研制出頻率2.95-3.15THz的一系列太赫茲量子級聯激光器,以及峰值探測波長從4.5到10.6微米的一系列量子級聯探測器。他的研究成果獲得了包括國家自然科學二等獎在內的多項獎項,并承擔了多項國家科研任務。
