江大勇，1969年出生于湖南陵，漢族，現任北京大學地球與空間科學學院教授、博士生導師，教育部新世紀優秀人才，同時擔任該學院黨委委員、副書記。他的專業及研究領域包括古生物學及地層學，特別是三疊紀海生爬行動物及其地層、古環境、古地理、古生態，以及化學生物地層學、事件地層學。
