空中補(bǔ)給合唱團(tuán)是在70-80年代享譽(yù)全球的慢搖滾組合。1976年成立于大洋洲，1980年進(jìn)軍美國(guó)樂(lè)壇，當(dāng)年即取得驚人成績(jī)，首張專輯《迷失愛(ài)中》（Lost in love）先后有九首歌曲打入當(dāng)年流行音樂(lè)排行榜前10名。從而走向了其超級(jí)樂(lè)隊(duì)的地位。樂(lè)隊(duì)由主要從事創(chuàng)作的漢姆·盧瑟(Graham Russell）和主唱歌手盧瑟·海希庫(kù)克（Russell·Hitchcook）組成。

Air Supply is a soft rock duo who had a succession of hits worldwide through the late 1970s and early 1980s. It consists of British guitarist and vocalist Graham Russell (born Graham Cyril Russell, 11 June 1950, Sherwood, 諾丁漢, England, UK)and Australian lead vocalist Russell Hitchcock (born Russell Charles Hitchcock, 15 June 1949, 墨爾本, Victoria, Australia).

The earnestness of the music and lyrics have made Air Supply an object of parody long after their success on the pop charts. Air Supply is made reference to in Fox's Animated series Family Guy in the episode "Emission Impossible", when Stewie Griffin makes inquiries to his onboard 計(jì)算機(jī) regarding the status of his shrinking vessel In The Simpsons, the music is referred to as "wuss rock" by Homer Simpson. The duo was also parodied in an episode of Saturday Night Live, where they are portrayed as homosexual lovers, who are not recognized by the audience they are performing in front of despite their boasts of musical success.

1983年，演唱組的精選集出版，并賣掉了400萬(wàn)張。兩年后，他們出版了第4張專輯《air supply》，聽(tīng)眾對(duì)該專輯的反映比較冷淡，只有《just as i am》進(jìn)入排行榜第19名，這是第1張沒(méi)有成為金唱片的專輯。接下來(lái)的《herats in motion》（1986）依然沒(méi)有成功，只獲得排行榜第84名，在這張令人失望的專輯出版不久，air supply宣布解散。
5年后，hitchcock和russell重組air supply，復(fù)出后的air supply先后出版了《the earth is...》（1991）、《the vanishing race》（1993）和《news from nowhere》（1995），但結(jié)果是一樣都沒(méi)有進(jìn)入排行榜。經(jīng)典永恒！
