白國平，男，1963年5月生于河北省容城縣，博士，碩士生導師。1984年畢業于華東石油學院石油地質專業，獲學士。現任《古地理學報》編委、《Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering》特約編委、美國石油地質家學會（AAPG）會員。在國外期間，主要從事碎屑巖成巖作用、流體演化史和儲層評價研究工作。回國后，主要從事國外含油氣盆地、區帶和區塊石油地質的合評價、全球油氣分布以及儲層地質學的研究和教學工作。為研究生、本科生主講雙語《全球油氣分布》和《專業英語》等課程。獲得國家科學技術進步二等獎一次和北京市科學技術一等獎一次，發表第一作者論文20余篇，出版專著一部。

1992.4-1994.3 在澳洲聯邦科學工業組織 (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation - CSIRO) 石油資源研究所做博士后研究。
1994.5-1999.3在美國猶他大學能源地學研究院 (能量 & 地球科學 Institute at University of Utah) 任助理研究員(Assistant Research Professor)。
1999年4月起在石油大學工作。
研究方向
主要從事盆地石油地質綜合研究、區塊評價、油氣分布和儲層評價的研究工作和全球油氣分布、儲量計算和石油地質的教學工作。
