王慧智，保定市清苑人。1982年天津美術學院繪畫系中國畫專業畢業，獲學士。1987年天津美術學院山水畫研究生畢業，獲碩士學位。現為天津美術學院中國畫系副教授，中國書畫報社副總編輯，中國美術家協會會員，天津畫院院外畫家。
人物經歷
1956年7月28日，王慧智出生于河北保定清苑。1982年，王慧智從天津美術學院繪畫系中國畫專業畢業，獲學士學位。1987年，王慧智從天津美術學院山水畫研究生畢業，獲碩士學位。2000年，王慧智在山東青州舉辦個人展覽。次年，王慧智在山東濟南舉辦個人展覽。2004年，王慧智在天津市舉辦個人展覽。2008年，王慧智在濰坊市舉辦個人展覽。次年，王慧智在煙臺市舉辦個人展覽。此外，他還多次赴法國、意大利、西班牙、希臘、加拿大、澳大利亞、新加坡、尼泊爾、韓國、日本、馬來西亞等國以及中國臺灣、澳門、香港特別行政區等地進行藝術交流并舉辦畫展。

主要成就
王慧智的作品先后入選第八屆全國美術作品展覽優秀作品展、全國第十一次新人新作展、全國第三屆、第四屆當代山水畫展、全國首屆國畫家學術邀請展，曾兩次赴新加坡、澳門、香港特別行政區進行藝術交流并舉辦書畫展，并于2000年、2001年在國內兩次舉辦個人畫展。出版有《中國書法教程》、《中國山水畫教程》、《山水畫雜論》、《王慧智山水速寫》、《試論山水畫構圖形式美中的“勢”》、《山水畫寫生與創作》等論著。
