創(chuàng)作背景
《Gold Digger》原本是坎耶·維斯特為女說唱歌手Shawnna的專輯《Worth tha Weight》而創(chuàng)作的歌曲，但Shawnna并未將其收錄。坎耶·韋斯特認為該歌曲應該以男性的角度來演唱，所以就將該歌曲用于了自己的專輯。
2004年初，坎耶·韋斯特在巡演的途中錄制完成了該歌曲的第二段副歌；同年，坎耶在參演亞瑟小子的巡演時錄制了第一段副歌；而歌曲的第三段最初選取自坎耶為Murphy Lee制作的歌曲《Drop Dead Gorgeous》（未發(fā)行），但坎耶于2005年在紐約的索尼音樂錄音室重新創(chuàng)作并錄制了第三段副歌。該歌曲對雷·查爾斯的歌曲《I Got a Woman》進行了采樣，杰米·福克斯則演唱了采樣的開頭部分。
