第28屆獨立精神獎，于2013年2月23日頒發，以表彰2012年最佳獨立電影。提名名單于2012年11月27日公布，儀式由安迪·薩姆伯格主持。
簡介
第28屆獨立精神獎公布了獲獎名單，之前已經橫掃過“衛星獎”等獨立制片獎項的《烏云背后的幸福線》不負眾望，一舉擒獲所獲5個提名中的4個！其中包括香港電影金像獎最佳電影、最佳導演、最佳女主角、最佳劇本這些“含金量”最高的獎項。男主角方面布萊德利·庫珀不幸敗給了《親密治療》的約翰-霍克斯，而幫他“破處”的海倫·亨特也脫穎而出，為《親密治療》拿下兩個重要獎項。馬修-麥康奈總算也收獲了一個表演獎項，由于他在《魔力麥克》中的賣力（賣肉）演出，順利奪下最佳男配角的頭銜。以下是完整名單：
