恐齒龍是一種已經(jīng)滅絕的高大肉食性恐龍，屬于暴龍科恐龍的一屬。它的化石最早是由Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden在蒙大拿州的Judith River Formation發(fā)現(xiàn)的一根牙齒，年代為上白堊紀(jì)。這根牙齒被命名為Deinodon horridus，是最早被研究的暴龍科化石之一。雖然這根牙齒很有可能是屬于之后發(fā)現(xiàn)的蛇發(fā)女怪龍，但由于單靠牙齒特征很難區(qū)分不同的暴龍科，因此恐齒龍一般被認(rèn)為是疑名。恐齒龍的牙齒略微異齒，而后彎齒龍的模式標(biāo)本很可能可以歸入恐齒龍。
