張大勇，男，1964年12月25日出生于吉林四平，是中國生態學家和政治人物。他是北京師范大學教授、生態學研究所所長、生物多樣性與生態工程教育部重點實驗室主任。此外，他還是第十二屆全國人民代表大會北京地區代表。

1990年于蘭州大學獲得理學博士學位。
現任北京師范大學生命科學學院生態學研究所所長、生物多樣性與生態工程教育部重點實驗室主任。
1999－2004曾任教育部“長江學者獎勵計劃”特聘教授，國家杰出青年基金獲得者，入選國家人事部“百千萬”人才工程；中國生態學會理事，《科學通報》《植物學報》《植物生態學報》《生態學報》《生物多樣性》《應用生態學報》《生態學雜志》《生態科學》編委。

生物多樣性維持機制的研究：重點探索隨機性與生態位分化在群落結構組建中的作用。
植物繁殖生態學：植物大小依賴的性別資源分配和繁殖分配，交配系統和生活史進化。
分子生態學：利用分子標記等技術研究生物種群的動態、分布以及競爭共存。
理論生態學：數學建模分析各種生態學過程的邏輯后果；作物生長冗余理論及其在農業中的運用。
生物入侵：外來生物在入侵地的快速適應性進化；植物與草食動物的協同進化。
