作者：（西班牙）巴爾塔沙·格拉西安（Baltasar Gracian) 注譯：青閏
巴爾塔沙·格拉西安（1601-1658）出生于西班牙阿拉貢王國貝爾蒙特村，青少年時(shí)期在托雷多和薩拉戈薩學(xué)習(xí)哲學(xué)和文學(xué)，18歲加入耶穌會(huì)，曾擔(dān)任過軍中神父、告解神父、宣教師、教授、耶穌會(huì)學(xué)院院長。1637年出版第一部作品《英雄》，1640年出版《政治家》。這兩部書主要論述政治領(lǐng)袖的理想品質(zhì)，也是他1647年出版《智慧書》的思想根源。1651至U1657年，他先后出版了諷刺巨著《批評(píng)大師》三卷本。后來，他被放逐到一個(gè)鄉(xiāng)下小鎮(zhèn)，1658年在此去世。
