朱菁，加拿大國(guó)籍，籍貫湖南省。出生于1968年11月，原任職于中山大學(xué)哲學(xué)系、中山大學(xué)邏輯與認(rèn)知研究所，長(zhǎng)江學(xué)者，教授，博士生導(dǎo)師。
現(xiàn)任廈門大學(xué)人文學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)。
學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)歷
1986—1991，中國(guó)科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)，計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)技術(shù)系，獲工學(xué)學(xué)士。
1991—1994，中國(guó)科學(xué)院大學(xué)，科技哲學(xué)專業(yè)，獲理學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。
1997—2003，滑鐵盧大學(xué)（University of Waterloo），哲學(xué)系，獲哲學(xué)博士學(xué)位。
工作經(jīng)歷
1994—1997，中國(guó)科學(xué)院研究生院，助教、講師。
2003—2006，中國(guó)科學(xué)院研究生院，副教授。
2006年10月起，中山大學(xué)邏輯與認(rèn)知研究所、哲學(xué)系，教授，長(zhǎng)江學(xué)者特聘教授(2008)。
2017年2月起，廈門大學(xué)人文學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)。
學(xué)術(shù)成就
曾在佛羅里達(dá)州立大學(xué)哲學(xué)系、英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)UCL認(rèn)知神經(jīng)科學(xué)研究所做訪問學(xué)者。2006年入選中山大學(xué)“百人計(jì)劃”引進(jìn)人才，2008年入選廣東省高等學(xué)校“千百十工程”第五批省級(jí)培養(yǎng)對(duì)象，2008年獲教育部“長(zhǎng)江學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)計(jì)劃”特聘教授。

學(xué)術(shù)特色
朱菁教授學(xué)術(shù)探索的主要特點(diǎn)或特色是將對(duì)傳統(tǒng)哲學(xué)問題的反思與當(dāng)代認(rèn)知科學(xué)的發(fā)展有機(jī)地結(jié)合起來，立足于認(rèn)知心理學(xué)、認(rèn)知神經(jīng)科學(xué)以及人工智能研究等領(lǐng)域的最新進(jìn)展，力求對(duì)哲學(xué)的一些基本概念或理論作出新的闡釋和豐富，同時(shí)也為相關(guān)經(jīng)驗(yàn)科學(xué)的進(jìn)一步探索提供新的概念工具以及具有整合性的理論框架，體現(xiàn)了鮮明的時(shí)代特色和跨學(xué)科特征。
朱菁教授講授的《認(rèn)知科學(xué)導(dǎo)論》入選國(guó)家級(jí)精品視頻課程，其教學(xué)方法講究理論分析與課堂討論相結(jié)合，注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的分析思維能力。
