張亦農美國康奈爾大學人類學博士，2010年被授予上海市高校特聘教授東方學者，現為上海大學社會學系教授。美國維納格林人類學基金會（The Wenner-Gren Foundation）刊物《Current Anthropology》特約編輯。聯合國教科文組織（UNESCO）刊物《DIVERSITIES》編委。研究興趣：民族宗教多樣性，全球化與民族國家，殖民主義與后民族主義理論，社會網絡，藏族、回族社會和文化。
