主要從事湍流的數值研究,表現在對均勻各向同性湍流和壁湍流的大規模直接數值模擬與大渦模擬。

致力于均勻各向同性湍流的尺度理論和慣性動力學機理的深入研究,重點表現在對二維湍流中能量反級串和擬渦能正級串物理機制的探討與挖掘。同時,對湍流中重要物理量的Lagrangian動力學行為也開展了廣泛的研究。

近期的研究興趣將集中在可壓縮湍流的建模與數值模擬,以及與工業、工程相關的復雜流動的數值研究上。

現為Journal of Fluid Mechanics 和 Journal of Turbulence 等國際學術期刊的特約審稿人。
