薛照明，男，1962年8月生。教授。1983年畢業于合肥工業大學，獲學士；1989年畢業于東北工學院，獲碩士學位；2007年畢業于中國科學技術大學，獲博士學位。2003年被遴選為碩士生導師。曾任安徽大學教務處副處長，安徽大學實驗與物資設備管理處處長。
2016年6月2日，中共安徽省委的決定：薛照明同志任安徽大學副校長。
人物簡介
省級科技創新團隊主要成員，獲省級成果獎2項，被Marquis 美國名人傳記出版社選入06年出版《Who's Who in Science and Engineering》(科技名人)和 《Who's Who in Asia》(亞洲名人)。
目前主要從事功能配位化合物研究，其中：
1、在雙光子熒光及非線性光學材料研究領域與合作者一道率先實驗出配合物的雙光子激發熒光現象，對雙光子熒光研究從有機材料擴展到無機化合物材料做出了積極貢獻。
2、在鋰離子電池電解質-——配合物鋰鹽理論研究方面，用量子化學方法研究了系列電解質的結構與性能的關系，對該類電解質的合成提供了理論指導，為該領域的研究在理論指導下有效地開展研究做出了積極貢獻。近年來于中國科學、Dalton Trans.、Journal of Power Sources、Electrochimica Acta等國際有較大影響的期刊以第一作者發表論文20余篇。
2016年6月2日起任安徽大學副校長。
