葉茂，男，博士，1973年9月出生，畢業(yè)于四川師范大學(xué)，現(xiàn)為電子科技大學(xué)教授。
2008年破格提升為博士生指導(dǎo)教師。2009年破格晉升為正教授。中國工程物理研究院客座教授，電子科技大學(xué)機(jī)器人中心副主任。計(jì)算機(jī)學(xué)會計(jì)算機(jī)視覺專委會，多媒體計(jì)算專委會委員。2002年從香港中文大學(xué)獲得計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)哲學(xué)博士學(xué)位并加入電子科技大學(xué)至今。

1998年4月-1999年7月信息產(chǎn)業(yè)部電子第二十九研究所軟件組，高級程序員，從事信息與數(shù)據(jù)融合方面的研究和軟件編制工作。7月-1999年7月在中電第29研究所任助理工程師。
2002年7月-2005年7月在電子科技大學(xué)任講師。
2005年7月-2009年7月在電子科技大學(xué)任副教授。11月-2006年8月任昆士蘭大學(xué)信息科學(xué)與技術(shù)工程學(xué)院訪問學(xué)者，從事高維數(shù)據(jù)流挖掘方面的理論研究。
2009年7月-至今在電子科技大學(xué)任教授。
