劉鳴華，男，1965年12月出生，籍貫江蘇江陰，研究生學歷，博士學位，1998年2月參加工作，1985年2月加入中國共產黨。畢業于南京大學，后在日本玉大學獲得博士學位，先后任職于日本科學技術廳理化學研究所、東京農工大學、中科院感光化學研究所、中科院化學研究所、中科院基礎科學局等。其主要研究領域是界面組裝體的超分子手性研究，基于新型兩親分子的組裝，生物分子的組裝與功能化和有機凝膠與軟物質材料研究等，曾獲2004年度中國分析測試協會技術獎（CAIA）一等獎。2013年6月任國家納米科學中心主任。
