石建新,男,漢族,籍貫湖南省。現任中山大學化學與化學工程學院副教授、碩士生導師。
中山大學基礎無機化學實驗課程負責人、藥學院與生科院無機化學主講教師、全校基礎無機化學實驗主講教師。
現任中山大學化學學院化學系副主任、無機化學教研室主任。

1997年11月至1999年12月作為博士后在中山大學無機化學專業從事研究工作,之后留在中山大學化學與化學工程學院無機化學與材料研究所從事教學、科研工作。

參加了7個項目的研究工作,其中:國家自然科學基金1項,廣東省自然科學基金3項 (其中2項為負責人),廣東省科技計劃項目1項,黑龍江省科委項目1項,中科院長春應用化學研究所稀土化學與物理開放實驗室開放課題1項。在國內外期刊上已發表有關論文30余篇,其中19篇被SCI收錄。
