鄭世察為廈門大學會計學教授第一人
在廈門大學，“會計學”字樣最早可見于1925年10月3日《廈大周刊》第121期：“商學系副教授鄭世察，浙江寧波人，初畢業于滬江大學商科，得學士。民國十年渡美，在芝加哥、哥倫比亞及紐約各大學研究。凡二年有半，得碩士學位，旋回國，農商部特任為會計師。同年冬，在上海豐美銀行任職。翌年，應南方大學之聘，充會計學教授。本年上季，任上海中華民國會計師公會評議員。現在本大學教授會計學，其得心應手，可預卜也”。隨后，1925年10月24日第124期登出鄭氏來函“查本人與校中所訂關約擔任商學經濟學教授，今貴刊記為商學系副教授，想系傳聞失實，特此來函便正”。鄭世察先生應為廈門大學“會計學教授第一人”。
