陳曉東

陳曉東,1965年出生于北京。蘇州大學材料與化學化工學部化工與環境工程學院教授、博士生導師。蘇州大學化工創新實驗室主任,引進人才,新西蘭皇家科學院院士,澳大利亞技術科學工程院院士。

新西蘭皇家科學院院士(2000),澳大利亞工程院院士(2007),國家(第二批)引進人才(2010)。主要研究方向為仿生化工,食品與生物化工,功能顆粒技術,換熱器的結垢與清洗,自燃現象及應用數學分析等。院士于1999-2006年任新西蘭食品工程協會主席,先后擔任新西蘭奧克蘭大學(The University of 奧克蘭都會區)化工與材料系終身講席教授(2001;37歲)、莫納什大學(Monash University)化工系生物技術化學工程講席教授(2006;41歲)、蒙納士大學工程學院副院長(2007-2009)。2010年初至2012年底,曾任廈門大學化學化工學院化學工程與生物工程系系主任。

科研成就

陳院士的工作特點是通過對基礎的理解與創新意識和靈感相結合,簡化復雜的工程問題從而簡單有效的解決實際問題。通過創造性的科研給產業帶來可觀的效益。減少能源利用與減少環境污染并提高產品質量,提高人類生活的品質并為社會進步服務。已親自指導了100多名碩士與博士到成功畢業。在蘇大,陳院士主講一年級的“化工導論”課程。陳院士的業余愛好包括繪畫,讀書,參觀博物館,欣賞流行音樂與散步等。

團隊建設

2012年,由陳曉東主持領導的研究團隊在蘇州大學組建,之后這個團隊發展成為蘇州大學化工與環境工程學院。該團隊設置了多學科交叉的研究方向,積極開展科技創新與成果轉化工作,同時致力于高層次人才培養以及國際化建設與合作相關事宜。2018年,該團隊榮獲第五屆全國教育改革創新優秀獎

陳曉東在蘇州大學主講一年級“化工導論”課程,輔講二年級的“工程數學”等課程。

培養成果

陳曉東已經指導并培養出碩士與博士畢業生100余人。
