課程性質與設置目的：
英語詞匯學是全國高等教育自學考試英語語言文學專業本科段選修課程，是培養和檢驗自學能力應考者詞
匯學的基本理論知識和實際語言能力而設置的一門專業課程。
英語詞匯學是以現代語言學理論為指導，以英語詞匯為研究對象的課程。主要內容有詞的基本知識，詞的
形態結構，詞的構成方式，詞的意義及語義關系，英語詞匯的來源與發展，詞義的變化，習語及詞典知識
。英語詞匯學以傳授英語詞匯的基本理論和基本知識為任務，屬于理論知識課。但是，其實踐性很強，因
為詞匯本身是構成語言的具體材料，在傳授理論的過程中必然要涉及豐富的語言材料和大量的詞語例證。
設置本課程的目的要求：是自學應考者對英語詞匯學具有比較系統，比較完整的知識，比較深入地了解英
