喬·萊特瑞是一位資深的視覺效果藝術家，他于2001年加入維塔數碼，擔任視覺特效總監。目前，他已是4個奧斯卡獎、4個英國電影學院獎以及4個美國視覺效果協會獎的得主。

2021年4月23日，擔任視覺特效的電影《指環王2：雙塔奇兵》在中國大陸重映。

2023年2月19日，出席在英國舉辦的第76屆英國電影學院獎頒獎典禮。3月12日，出席在美國舉辦的第95屆奧斯卡頒獎典禮。
