新余市體育中心位于江西省新余市渝水區，2006年建成，占地494畝，總建筑面積66500平方米，總投資規模3.5億元；是為承辦江西省第十二屆運動會（2006）、完善城市基礎設施、提升城市品位而投資建設的重點工程，是集體育比賽、訓練、辦公、大型活動、休閑等多種功能為一體的大型公益性項目。
2006年建成以來先后承辦過安踏集團全國男排聯賽、中澳國際女籃挑戰賽、全國乒乓球錦標賽預賽、全國武術套路冠軍賽等20余項次國內、國際體育賽事。
總體概況
體育中心坐落在風光秀美的孔目江畔濕地公園旁，占地494畝，總建筑面積66500平方米，總投資規模3.5億元。根據建設項目功能性質不同，體育中心由兩大部分組成，一是場館區由四場四館組成，即體育場、游泳場、室外運動場、室外網球場、游泳館、體育館、訓練館、網球館；二是體育公園區，布置在體育中心的西北角，用地面積約100畝。

場館概況
體育場
位于整個體育廣場的中心，是主要體育場館，設計觀眾座位18800個，建筑面積為34283平方米。足球場由人造草皮鋪設，8道預制型跑道全省一流，可承辦國家級的大中型田徑及足球比賽。場內設有健身房、體育室、貴賓房、賓館，豪華包廂等，是一個多功能設施的場館。

體育館
坐落于體育場的西南側，占地1800平方米，建筑面積為17814平方米，設計觀眾座位有3624個(含場內活動座椅420個)，設有兩個電子顯示屏，能舉行籃球、排球、羽毛球、體操、手球等多項體育比賽。

訓練館
與體育館相配套，同處于體育場西南側，總建筑面積為4000平方米，訓練館為二層，底層為訓練場（平時可為商務會展廳）。二層為回廊。設計觀眾活動席400席。

游泳場館
位于體育場東南面，室外游泳池為長50米×寬21米，按國家標準建設，游泳場建筑面積3800平方米，設計觀眾座位939個；室內游泳池為長25米×寬21米，游泳館建筑面積4300平方米，煤氣供熱。可承辦各類世界游泳錦標賽項目，是夏季市民健身游泳的好場所。

網球場館
位于體育場東面，室外有6片網球場，建筑面積4084平方米；室內網球館居全省一流，館內有2片網球場，建筑面積為2400平方米。可供高規格的網球比賽用。
