黃匹菊組是多年生草本，莖單生或少數莖成簇生，不分枝，有彎曲的長單毛。
形態

多年生草本。葉二回或三回羽狀分裂。基生葉有柄，莖葉無柄。頭狀花序單生莖頂。總苞直徑1-2.5厘米。舌狀花黃色或桔黃色，舌片長橢圓形至線形。瘦果長3毫米，有5-8條橢圓形突起的縱肋。冠狀冠毛長0.1毫米或不足0.1毫米。
本組2種，分布我國西南部。
