細胞體：（Cytoplast） in cell biology, is the inner part of the cell without the cell wall, cell nucleus, and plasma membrane. It includes the cytoskeleton, organelles and cytosol. Sometimes used to describe a cell in which the nucleus has been removed.

神經元包括細胞體和突起兩部分。細胞體是神經元中的一部分，主要集中在腦和脊髓的灰質中，構成神經中樞。細胞體與神經元的軸突末梢相接觸的部位叫做突觸。細胞體周圍分布著樹突，與軸突和神經纖維組成神經細胞。細胞體是代謝和營養中心。神經元包括細胞體跟突出兩個部分。
