制作花絮
槍花在選擇Mike Clink之前曾經(jīng)找過其他制作人，包括KISS樂隊(duì)的Paul Stanley。
很多fans和樂迷都認(rèn)為，GNR最好最偉大最完美的專輯并不是雙CD的《Use Your Illusion》，而是這張從天而降、勢(shì)不可擋的打入主流音樂市場(chǎng)、完美融合了Blues，Heavy Metal，Hard Rock，Pop Metal，Grunge等各種元素的《Appetite for Destruction》。
在這張專輯里，史萊許和Izzy豐富渾厚靈活多變的雙吉他已經(jīng)得到完全表現(xiàn)，Axl音質(zhì)的多變和音域的寬廣也讓廣大樂迷嘆為觀止。
Slash在《Sweet Child O'Mine》里將一把Les Paul用得萬分愜意——前奏空靈優(yōu)美，明朗清澈，與Duff的bass相輔相成，更襯托了Axl少年般明亮的音色。間奏長(zhǎng)達(dá)1分鐘的Solo更是充分的展示了他的天賦技巧才華和魔力——他的神秘性感無人能及。
作為《Appetite for Destruction》里最“安靜抒情”的歌，《Sweet Child O'Mine》似乎因此顯得更為經(jīng)典而被廣為翻唱。
專輯名稱來自ROBERT WILLIAM的繪畫作品Appetite for Destruction，描述了一幅特別混亂瘋狂的場(chǎng)面：一個(gè)機(jī)器人為了給一個(gè)剛被人強(qiáng)奸的女孩報(bào)仇就生吞了強(qiáng)奸者。此畫也是本專輯的原始封面，之后因?yàn)檫@個(gè)封面專輯遭到封殺，樂隊(duì)不得不將專輯封面換成五個(gè)骷髏頭的樣子。
