〈Girlfriend〉由YG首席制作人Teddy及bigbang成員G-Dragon和T.O.P共同作詞，Teddy、G-Dragon及Choice37進(jìn)行作曲，而Teddy和Choice37則進(jìn)行編曲。這是一首融入Pop rock以及柔和嘻哈音樂(lè)的歌曲，被描述為“回歸到團(tuán)隊(duì)早期風(fēng)格的柔和嘻哈音樂(lè)”。
