武漢實驗外國語學(xué)校小學(xué)部江南分校，成立于2004年，是在武漢市人民政府親切關(guān)懷下，經(jīng)市教育局、洪山區(qū)教育局批準，由武漢城投集團與武漢外國語學(xué)校聯(lián)合創(chuàng)辦的一所集初中、小學(xué)于一體的現(xiàn)代化全日制寄宿學(xué)校。學(xué)校現(xiàn)有學(xué)生800余人，教職工100余人。其中研究生學(xué)歷占12.76%, 本科以上學(xué)歷占教師總?cè)藬?shù)的93.62%；特級教師1人，省骨干教師1名，市學(xué)科帶頭人2人，中高級職稱13人。學(xué)校已初步形成一支以高學(xué)歷、有一定教學(xué)經(jīng)驗的青年教師為主體，高職稱有豐富教學(xué)經(jīng)驗的中老年教師為骨干的教師隊伍。

Wuhan Foreign Languages School Jiangnan Branch, founded jointly by Wuhan Urban Construction Investment &Development(Group) Co. Ltd and Wuhan Foreign Languages School, is a modern full-時間 boarding school which includes two parts, primary school and junior middle school. And its founding was strongly supported by Wuhan Municipal Government and approved by the Education Bureau of Wuhan City and Hongshan District.
Now the school has more than 800 students and employs over 100 people on its staff in which the number of post graduates accounts for 12.76 %of the total and graduates and post graduates 93.62%. Among the teachers, there are 1 super-senior teacher, 1 provincial backbone teacher, 2 leading teachers in subjects of Wuhan City and 13 senior teachers of middle school. Thus the school has a good team of teachers in which the number of the young with high educational background and basic teaching experience constitutes the majority and the old and the middle aged with high professional post and rich experience play a leading role.
In accordance with the concept of WFLS “Try to cultivate talented persons facing the world and future”, the school carries out a strategy of “Small size, Best quality, Development in a steady and healthy way”. And it also holds on to its characteristic of foreign languages teaching on the basis of guarantee of “high quality and balanced development in the teaching of all subjects.” What’s more, it stresses the development of the students’ potential talent, improvement of the personality and cultivation of their innovation in order to enable them to become modern talents with sound mind, profound learning and world-wide foresight.

改制更名
武漢外國語學(xué)校江南分校將于2009年7月轉(zhuǎn)為公辦，更名為武漢市洪山實驗外國語學(xué)校。
學(xué)校規(guī)模
現(xiàn)有小學(xué)部13個教學(xué)班，491名學(xué)生，初中部6個教學(xué)班，222名學(xué)生。

改制緣由
該校從成立之初就確立了以外語為特色的辦學(xué)宗旨，并經(jīng)常聘請武漢外國語學(xué)校的老師交流授課。附近居民甚至區(qū)內(nèi)其他地方的居民都慕名而來，想進這所洪山區(qū)的“外校”。可是，由于學(xué)校的民辦性質(zhì)，相對于公辦學(xué)校來說，高昂的學(xué)費讓不少家長止步。
近幾年來，名都花園小區(qū)及周邊小區(qū)入住人口不斷增多，適齡兒童劇增，為了緩解這一地區(qū)的入學(xué)矛盾，經(jīng)反復(fù)研究決定，將該校轉(zhuǎn)為公辦，按就近劃片原則對口免試招生，并按公辦學(xué)校相關(guān)政策收取費用。
轉(zhuǎn)制后的學(xué)校將于9月開始招生，原外校學(xué)生辦學(xué)模式和收費采用老辦法。
