衛思韓原名小約翰·威爾斯（John E. Wills Jr.），臺灣地區稱之為魏而思，也有極個別人稱之為魏思韓。著名歷史學家和漢學家，1936年生。南加利福尼亞大學教授，現已經榮退。曾師從費正清先生。以研究中國明清史和荷蘭、葡萄牙殖民史見長
