劇情介紹
1964年，對為愛斯基摩人的阿維而言，有著復雜多變的回憶。他的生命在十二歲以前是完全村落化，從未接受過文明洗禮，直到制圖員華特的出現，帶他走出原始、進入文明的蒙特婁市；文化差異因素，導致阿維與其它小朋友溝通不良，但也使得他和有著印地安血統的女孩艾柏汀更為親近，倆人之間產生微妙的感情。不適文明的阿維終于還是回到家鄉當個獵人，多年后，他和艾柏汀在戰火中重逢，但人事全非，一心想當白人的艾柏汀盡管深愛阿維，卻不愿放棄既有的一切，他們是否還能像孩童時期，訴說未來遠景……

一部史詩般的愛情故事。
1931年，一個測繪學工作者來到北極為一些未記錄的地區繪制地圖離去時，他帶了一個愛斯基摩男孩一起回到文明世界。
在文明世界里，這個男孩不僅接受了教育，還和一個混血女孩產生了一段兩小無猜的感情。
后來，他們不幸分開，男孩回到了北極，多年以后，男孩加入了軍隊，
在抗爭希特勒戰爭時期，他終于又見到了他心愛的女孩，但是時間，空間以及戰爭造成的距離卻是不可挽回的。

Walter Russell: There's a monster in a room. Once that room was filled with everything that was valuable to him. His train sets, his puppet theatre, his model planes. They're all broken now. All that's left untouched is his beautiful collection of Dresden china. You go into that room, you smash all his crockery, then you have broken his 精神
Avik: If someone entered this room and destroyed her, would it break your spirit?
Walter Russell: If she were made of flesh and blood it might. This is not a race. But I don't like to lose things that are precious to me.
