劇情介紹
曾經獲得學術獎項的明星哈利·亨特扮魯比，她是一位肯特基州哈蘭鎮煤礦工人之妻，兩名礦工死后，工會召開了一次反對破產公司的罷工，接下來的工會斗爭在歷史上最具有暴力，最為痛苦，最為聲名狼藉之一。眼看罷工沒有結局，魯比決定用自己的方式與公司斗爭，特德·利和斯特蘭·斯伽德加盟本劇也一舉成名，本劇純屬虛構，故事取材于哈蘭鎮德一次礦工罷工。
