《中國電子報》由信息產業部主管，中國電子報社主辦，隸屬于中國電子信息產業發展研究院(CCID)，是具有機關報職能的電子信息產業行業報。
《中國電子報》立足電子信息產業，突出產業鏈優勢，以新聞+專題+專輯的形式，報道范圍貫通電子信息產業完整價值鏈，并深入到電子信息技術和產品的眾多應用領域，為讀者和客戶提供權威資訊和實用解決方案。

《中國電子報》每周出版兩期，分別在每周二、周四出版。
周二日常出版20個版，主要由新聞和通信、IT、基礎電子等板塊構成。面向各級政府主管部門；通信運營企業、制造企業和增值服務企業；IT產品制造企業、軟件企業及信息技術應用部門；半導體、材料設備元器件制造企業及相關設計、流通企業；汽車制造企業和汽車電子產品制造企業。
周四日常出版12個版，主要由新聞和家電板塊構成。面向各級政府主管部門、家電制造及家電材料和零部件制造企業、家電流通企業和市場。

Established in 1984, directed by the Ministry of Information Industry(MII), China 電子學 News Agency (CENA) is an authoritative news agency in China's electronics information industry. At present, China Electronics News (CEN) has already formed an integrated marketing and transmitting system involving in newspaper publishing, network Platform, meetings and activities.
China 電子學 News is an organ for MII. The content covers industry news, basic electronics, consumer electronics, IT & informationization, telecommunication & information service.
The website is trying to become the top website in 電子學 information industry based on the extensive covering and editing resources and correspondents all over the country of China Electronics News. At present, the website has just finished the service functions like the E-paper service of CEN, information datebase,etc.
In order to promote the coordinated development of the industrial chain， China 電子學 News organizes major conferences and activities of the industry every year such as "China Consumer Electronics Annual Conference", "China Green Manufacturing Annual Conference", "China Semi-conductor Industry Annual Conference" and "China 電子學 Information Technology Annual Conference" and holds frontedge technology forums in cooperation with cities like Qingdao, Ningbo and Shunde.
