創作背景
據主唱Taka稱，“The Beginning”的Demo是在《殘響參考》發布之前用鋼琴制作的。歌詞是在2012年中期寫的，當時他們被要求為一部新的真人漫畫改編電影《浪客劍心》創作一首歌，他的朋友Takeru Satoh是主演。“The Beginning”是一首情感豐富、聲音強大而響亮的歌曲，講述了一個人為了所愛的人而努力不放棄，為了更好而改變，并冒一切風險在任何情況和條件下都要在一起的故事。
音樂視頻
標題曲的音樂視頻由Maxilla執導，于2012年8月14日在單曲發布前發布。視頻中，樂隊成員以及一對年輕男女的故事交織在一起，展現了歌曲的情感強度和主題。整個視頻都是用陰郁的濾鏡和明亮的瞬間閃光拍攝的，營造出一種強烈的對比效果。視頻的結尾，樂隊成員站在原地低頭，畫面漸漸消失，而歌曲標題“開始”在最后閃爍，然后也漸漸消失。
